I have had amongst the most expensive education in the world (University of Manchester and Oxford University) yet I learned some of the most important lessons here in Jakarta. In the course of the many hours we spent sitting in the car because of Jakarta’s legendary traffic jams, my boss and I had many deep discussions about what it takes a to be a ‘good’ doctor. This is the charter for our medical school.

Note: my daughter who is considering Medicine as a career is serving her apprenticeship in Jakarta with Dr Achmad Mediana during her school breaks over the next two years.
