It is true that we are insular Hampshire folks, but occasionally, we venture out of our own county like Hobbits. Last weekend, we went to the Mortehoe Peninsular. It has some of the loveliest beaches in the country (Woolacombe was voted the best beach in the UK) but mainly because my son Kit has great fondness for Devon. He trained at the Britannia Royal Naval College in Dartmouth and has returned to this county many times since for exercises and also with his friends for the great outdoors. So at the weekend, Kit showed his family the best of this county – we went for gorgeous long walks through the stunning countryside all weekend. Life simply at its best đŸ™‚
