The trendy cafe around the corner from my yoga studio sells superfoods bowls for £6 (for a small portion). I decided to do my own research and came up with my own. This is what it contains:
- Fresh organic greens for nutrients
- Avocado for energy
- Berries for antioxidants
- Amaranth and red quinoa for fibre, vitamins, especially iron and manganese. Quinoa contains all nine essential amino acids
- Chia seeds for omega-3 fatty acids
I just drizzled olive oil and lemon juice over the nutrient-packed bowl … it tastes wonderful.
