This is what I have learned: it ALWAYS takes two people to built a stable home, a loving family and a long-lasting, fulfilling relationship. One person can never do the job fully, however big the love, just as you cannot clap with one hand. You need the other hand to be there, close by, supporting, providing the opposite and the support.
Today, I saw this from Fierce Marriage from Martin Luther, and it spoke eloquently to me:
I am sure there are times when he did not want to come home to me, just as there are times when I wanted him to leave. We are work-in-progress, definitely. But somehow, we stick to the programme for the joy of waking up together to another sunrise, which is always more beautiful when you have someone who committed to you to share it with.
